The children looked at the work of Van Gogh (Starry Starry Night) and the nursery rhyme ‘Hey Diddle Diddle’ to consider the link to their locality. The cow is based on landscapes of Cambridge at night, with particular reference to locations linked with the Cambridge cows. The cow is painted in acrylic depicting a night sky with symbols from the poem, including a cow jumping over a moon.
